Terms of Service

These Terms govern your use of opencourt.ph (“OpenCourt”, “the platform”). By creating an account or using the site, you agree to them. If you don’t agree, don’t use the platform.

We record the date and version of the Terms you accepted on your account. When we publish a material change, you’ll be asked to review and accept the new version before continuing; the version number is shown at the top of this page.

• You must provide accurate information and keep your account credentials confidential.
• You’re responsible for activity under your account.
• A person may hold both a Player and a Partner role; each role has its own responsibilities under these Terms.
• We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or abuse the platform.

• Court availability, price, and any court-specific rules are shown before you confirm and pay.
• A booking is confirmed once payment succeeds and cannot be cancelled by the player. A slot you can no longer use is passed on through Pasalo. See Refund Policy.
• OpenCourt facilitates the booking and payment; the court itself is operated by the listed court and its partner, who is responsible for the facility, equipment, and conditions on site.

• Anyone hosting an Open Play or Tournament is responsible for running it fairly and honoring the rules they publish (format, capacity, fees).
• Joining a game or event is a commitment to show up; repeated no-shows may limit your ability to join future games.
• Posts, comments, and profile content must be your own or something you have the right to share, and must not be abusive, harassing, or unlawful.

Pasalo is the only way a confirmed booking or a paid open-play seat leaves your hands. Two paths:

• A free hand-off to a player you name. The slot moves when they accept.
• A sale at the price you paid, no more and no less. The buyer pays OpenCourt through checkout, the slot moves the moment the payment goes through, and OpenCourt pays you in credits or by payout, as you chose when listing.
• Money never passes between players. OpenCourt is not responsible for any payment made outside the platform for a Pasalo.

• Prices are shown in Philippine pesos and already include OpenCourt’s service fee. The payment processing fee for the method you choose is shown as its own line before you pay, with no hidden charges. OpenCourt’s fee and the processing fee are not refundable when you ask for a cancellation (see the Refund Policy).
• Card and e-wallet payments are processed by our payment partner; OpenCourt never stores your full card or account number.
• Refunds are issued only when a partner cancels a confirmed booking, in full, to the original payment method.

• Partners are responsible for the accuracy of their listing: availability, pricing, photos, and amenities.
• Partners may cancel a confirmed booking only for closure, weather or maintenance; the player is refunded in full.
• Partners must honor confirmed bookings; repeated failure to do so may result in listing suspension.
• Partners accept this section, the fee schedule and the Data Processing terms during onboarding; we record when. Payout details you give us are used only to pay you.
• Partners pay for court time they hold on their own calendar, such as a block, coaching or an open play, the same way a player books: the listed price plus the OpenCourt fee and a processing fee. The listed price goes to the partner’s earnings and is paid out on their payout schedule. It stays there if the partner later releases the time or cancels the open play. The OpenCourt fee and the processing fee are not refunded. Only OpenCourt can hold time free of charge, for example to move bookings over from another platform.
• Partners are independent businesses. OpenCourt is a booking marketplace, not the operator of any court, and is not a party to the contract between a player and a partner.

You agree not to:

• Use the platform for anything unlawful, fraudulent, or to scam another user (including selling a Pasalo outside the platform or above the price paid).
• Interfere with, scrape at scale, or attempt to disrupt the platform’s normal operation.
• Impersonate another person or misrepresent your affiliation with a partner or organizer.
• Upload content that infringes someone else’s rights or violates the law.

OpenCourt connects players with courts, games, and each other; it does not itself own or operate the courts listed. The platform is provided “as is”. To the extent permitted by Philippine law, OpenCourt is not liable for the conduct of other users, the condition of a court, or losses arising from a payment made outside the platform.

You may close your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for violation of these Terms, fraud, or abuse of other users. Sections that by their nature should survive (payment records, dispute resolution, liability) continue to apply after termination.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of the Philippines. Disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the proper courts of the Philippines.

We may update these Terms as the platform evolves. We’ll update the date at the top and, for material changes, announce them on the site.
