Refund Policy
Last updated September 24, 2026 · version 2026-09-24.1
1. Bookings are final
A court booking is confirmed the moment your payment succeeds, and it cannot be cancelled by you afterwards. There is no cancellation window and no refund tier: the slot is yours, and the partner keeps that hour reserved for you.
2. Can't make it? Pass it on as Pasalo
Instead of losing a slot, list it on Pasalo. Another player buys it through OpenCourt at the price you paid, and the booking moves to them the moment their payment settles. OpenCourt pays you that price back as credits or a payout; no money passes between players. You can also hand a slot to a named player for free. Pasalo is the only way a paid slot leaves your hands. See the Pasalo section of our Terms of Service and the Pasalo Terms.
3. When a partner or OpenCourt cancels
A confirmed booking can be cancelled only by the partner (the court) or by OpenCourt. What comes back depends on who caused it. The cancelling party pays:
- The court cancels (closure, weather, maintenance, double-booking): you receive everything you paid: the court price and the payment processing fee.
- OpenCourt cancels for a reason of its own (for example fraud prevention or our error): you receive everything you paid.
- You asked the court or OpenCourt to cancel as a favour: you receive the court price less OpenCourt’s service fee (included in the price you paid) and less the payment processing fee that our payment processor keeps on a refunded charge.
The exact amount is shown to the partner before they confirm and to you in the cancellation email. A cancellation requested by OpenCourt takes effect only once the partner confirms it (or, after 72 hours without an answer, when OpenCourt processes it); until then your booking stands.
4. How refunds are paid
Every refund goes back to the payment method you used, through our payment processor. A purchase paid with OpenCourt credits is refunded as credits. Credits replace a cash refund only when the processor can no longer return the money to that method, because the method's refund window has passed or the method does not support refunds, and we tell you why. How long the money takes to show up depends on the method:
- GCash, Maya, GrabPay, ShopeePay: usually within 24 hours.
- Credit or debit card: up to 30 days, depending on the issuing bank. Most post it in 5 to 15 banking days.
- BPI online banking: at least 3 banking days.
- BDO, Metrobank, Landbank online banking: up to 5 banking days.
- QR Ph: real-time under ₱50,000, next banking day above.
- UnionBank online banking: not refundable by the processor, so it is issued as credits.
- OpenCourt credits: instant.
The processor's own fee on the original payment is never returned by the processor; who carries it follows the rule for that cancellation above.
5. Open Plays and Tournaments
- A paid Open Play seat can be given up until the host's opt-out cut-off (24 or 48 hours before the start, shown on the session before you pay). Before the cut-off, the host's price comes back to your payment method; the OpenCourt fee and the payment processing fee are not refunded. After the cut-off, or when the host set no opt-out, the seat is final. You may pass it on with Pasalo.
- If the host cancels the session, or it does not reach its minimum, every paid participant is refunded in full: price, OpenCourt fee and processing fee.
- A paid Tournament entry follows the same rule as the court booking behind it: no cancellation by the participant; a cancelled tournament refunds every entry in full.
6. Pasalo payments
Pasalo transfers are paid buyer-to-seller, off-platform. OpenCourt does not hold that money and this refund policy does not cover it. Disputes over a Pasalo handoff are reviewed under the process described in our Terms of Service.
7. Questions about a specific booking
