1. What coaching on OpenCourt is

Verified coaches have a page on OpenCourt. Players book private lessons with them, court included, and pay through OpenCourt. Coaches can also run clinics. These terms add to the Terms of Service, the Refund Policy and, for clinics and earnings, the Host Terms.

2. Verification

  • You apply with your real name, a government ID and at least one coaching credential. OpenCourt checks them before your page is listed or anyone can book you.
  • Your page says what OpenCourt checked and when, for example your ID and a certificate. A credential past its expiry date drops off your page until you add a current one.
  • Your ID and documents stay private. Only OpenCourt staff who review them can open them, and they are handled as our Privacy Policy says.
  • A false or borrowed document, or a credential you do not hold, ends your listing.

3. Prices and money

  • You set your price for one hour of a private lesson, for one to four players. Players see your price. At checkout they also pay for the court-hours at the court's price, any service fee OpenCourt sets on lessons (its own line), and the payment processing fee for their method.
  • You receive your full price for every paid lesson. There is no commission on your price. The court's price goes to the court.
  • Each paid lesson adds your price to your balance. Lessons and clinics are shown apart from any open plays you host, but they share one balance. You request it once every 24 hours, or it goes out with the scheduled payout, to the payout account you set up under the Host Terms.
  • Lessons booked on OpenCourt are paid on OpenCourt.

4. Lessons

  • Players book you in the hours you set, at the courts you teach at. A booking is confirmed the moment it is paid, and the court is booked for those hours.
  • You show up on time at the booked court, and teach the lesson as your page describes it, at the level the player booked.

5. Refunds and cancellations

  • A paid lesson is final for the player. Players can't cancel it or ask for a refund.
  • Only you or OpenCourt can refund a lesson. When you cancel one, the player gets your lesson price back at once and the same amount comes off your balance. The court-hours stay the player's to use or pass on with Pasalo. The service fee and the processing fee aren't refunded.
  • OpenCourt may refund a lesson when a player reports a problem, for example you did not show up. The lesson price comes off your balance in the same way, and you are told why. If your balance is below zero, it is taken from your next earnings before anything is sent.
  • Whoever refunds chooses where it goes: back to the payment method the player used, or as OpenCourt credits.

6. Clinics

A clinic is an open play in the Clinic format that you host as a verified coach. The Host Terms apply to it. Its seats count as coaching in your earnings.

7. Conduct and safety

  • You teach safely and within what you are qualified to teach.
  • You treat every player with respect. Harassment or abuse ends your listing.
  • A lesson with a player under 18 needs their parent or guardian's OK, and a parent or guardian nearby.
  • The details on your page are accurate and kept up to date.

8. Suspension

OpenCourt may suspend a coach for repeated no-shows, misleading credentials, unsafe lessons or complaints it finds true. A suspended coach is taken off the directory and can't be booked; what the ledger already owes them is still sent.
