Joining a group
Joining a group on OpenCourt: find a group, join or ask to join, get first pick of its games, play members-only games and climb the leaderboard.
1. Find a group
- Groups are crews, ladies' sessions and city communities that run their own games.
- Search by name, court or city. Each group shows its members, its upcoming games and its home court.
- Groups marked Approval let the admins read each request first.

- A group has five tabs: Games, Discussion, Members, Leaderboard and About.
- The admins and mods are listed on the side, with the top players this month and the rules.

- Games lists what's coming up, with the day, the court, the price and the spots left.
- A label shows when members get first pick or when a game is for members only.
- Members get a notification each time a new game is posted.

- Tap Join group to join an open group straight away.
- For a group that needs approval, tap Ask to join and answer the admins' questions. You get an email when they decide.
- An invite link from the group lets you in without waiting.
Some groups ask a few questions first. 5. Members get first pick
- Many group games open to members first, from 12 hours to 3 days before they open to everyone.
- Not a member yet? Join the waitlist. When the members' window ends, you move in, in the order you joined, if there's room.

- Some games are for members only. Join the group to take a spot.

Some games are for members only. 7. The leaderboard
- The leaderboard ranks members by the group games they played.
- Switch the range: the last 30, 60 or 90 days, a year, all time or your own dates.

- About shows how the group works, its home court and when it started.
- Read the rules before your first game. Admins can remove or ban members who break them.
