Playing in a tournament
Playing in a tournament on OpenCourt: find one, register your team, pay the entry, your partner confirms, and follow the pools, brackets and results.
1. Find a tournament
- Tournaments lists what's ongoing, what's coming up and what's done.
- Each card shows the dates, the court, how many divisions and teams, and the entry price.
- Registration closes on the date shown on the card.

- A tournament has one or more divisions, each with its own format, level range, team size and entry price per team.
- The Teams list shows who has registered and which teams have paid.
- Formats include round robin, single elimination and pool play into a knockout.

- Tap Register & pay on the division. Give your team a name if you like.
- For doubles, pick your partner by name or @handle. They get a notification to confirm.
- Tick the box to accept the tournament rules and waiver.
- If the division is full, you join the waitlist for free and pay if a spot opens.

- The entry is the organiser's price per team.
- The processing fee for how you pay is added as its own line.
- Your credits are used first. Your spot is held for 10 minutes while you pay.

- Your team shows Awaiting partner until your partner taps Confirm spot.
- Both partners must be registered for a confirmed spot. Unconfirmed spots move to the waitlist.
- A paid entry is final. If you can't play, talk to the organiser. If the organiser removes your team or cancels, you get your entry price back.

- After registration closes, the organiser publishes the draw.
- In pool play, each pool's table shows wins, losses and point difference, with every match score below it.
Pool standings update as scores come in. 7. Follow the bracket
- Knockout rounds show as a bracket. Winners move on until the final.
- When the organiser publishes the results, the champions show on the tournament and awards land on the players' profiles.
- Paid entries are listed under My bookings, in the Tournaments tab.
